For the second consecutive year, National Energy hosted a computer camp during the July-August holidays for students of La Brea and environs. The camp, which ran from 17-28 August 2015, was facilitated by Fred’s Business & Computer Consultancy Service. The event was held at the La Brea Sports Foundation’s computer lab as National Energy partnered with the organization to host the training camp.
Twenty-four (24) students took part in this year’s camp which was held in two (2) age groups: 8 – 12 in the mornings and 12 – 14 in the afternoons. Students learned about safe internet browsing practices, graphics, computer assembly and general computer literacy.
Overall, the camp was a resounding success and the participants eagerly demonstrated their new skills at the end of the program. National Energy is pleased to continue to make and investment in the empowerment of the youths of La Brea and environs.
