Stakeholder Engagement

National Energy has recognised the importance of good corporate governance and in so doing the company has developed a pattern of engagement with its key external stakeholders. National Energy engages its stakeholders in discussions at the beginning of every year to determine the needs of the community, to get feedback on company initiatives and programs and to promote the company’s projects. The company then hosts several follow-up focus group meetings with the stakeholders to keep channels of communication open and further assess the on-going projects.  So far for 2013 the company has held approximately 15 meetings in its fence-line communities.
 
   
 

 
National Energy Encourages Stakeholder Engagement
  Stakeholder Engagement continues to be critical to National Energy’s business goals. To ensure that our Stakeholders have input in the company’s 2015 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Plans and are well informed about National Energy’s business objectives, the company held several Stakeholder engagement sessions inclusive of focus group meetings and supplier meetings in the company’s fenceline communities and quarterly meetings with tenants of the La Brea Industrial Estate.
   
Christmas Charity Food Drive a Success!
  The spirit of Christmas is giving and in 2016, through the generosity of its employees, National Energy kept the spirit alive, lending much-needed assistance to the less fortunate in society. Notwithstanding the challenges we have all faced this year, staff members answered the call to bring in non-perishable food items or donated money towards purchasing same.

Vacation Employee Programme
  National Energy’s Vacation Employment Programme (VEP) 2016 commenced on Friday, 1st August 2016 and lasted for a period of two (2) months. This year, five (5) students were given the opportunity to participate in the programme in which they were each assigned a project to complete with guidance from their mentors.
