National Energy has been developing new energy-based and downstream projects as well as industrial estates, ports and marine infrastructure to support these projects for over 40 years. Some notable projects over the last few years include:
- Project Development for the Caribbean Gas Chemical Limited (CGCL) Natural Gas-to-Chemicals Complex at La Brea;
- Reconstruction of Berth 2 at the Port of Brighton to facilitate loadout of bpTT’s Juniper platform and shipment of components for CGCL plant;
- Reconstruction of Main Estate Corridor at La Brea Industrial Estate;
- Construction of Union Industrial Estate, La Brea;
- Construction of a model 2-bedroom house powered by solar energy was completed in collaboration with the University of Trinidad and Tobago and the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries;
- In collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries, National Energy installed photovoltaic systems for lighting and water distillation in 25 schools, and solar induction lighting was installed at 13 community centres;
- Construction of the Port of Galeota Phase 1 which is fully operational;
- Construction of a Fabrication Yard at the Port of Brighton, paving the way for increased local content and participation in the country’s energy sector.
