Celebrating 40 Years of National Development (1979 – 2019)

National Energy’s 40th Anniversary Special Publication

In commemoration of the significant milestone of 40 years of its incorporation, National Energy has produced a special 40th Anniversary publication. Keeping with the theme for the 40th Anniversary - Our Energy, Our Story – the book reflects the energy of our people and natural resources.

With masterful visual storytelling, the colours of the rebranded National Energy are used throughout the volume, bringing the pages to life. The reader is taken on a journey from the past to present-day, and also a glimpse into the future of energy in Trinidad and Tobago is presented. From its role as a pioneer in infrastructure development, marine operations, HSSE and gender equality, to its contribution to the national economy – the impact and value of National Energy’s work is recounted. You are therefore invited to explore National Energy from various perspectives in vivid, vibrant colour.

We hope you will enjoy reading our 40th Anniversary Special Publication as much as we enjoyed producing it.

Happy 40th Anniversary National Energy!

National Energy was formed by the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago in 1979 to continue the work of national development projects started by the Coordinating Task Force. One of these projects was the expansion of Point Lisas Industrial Estate, which has become the largest industrial hub in the Caribbean.
